Could you correct my grammar , Please?

After a while, i decided to return to the university. I almost started to look for it. I conducted many researches, and I also traveled to many countries. At the time i felt nothing at all. One day while sitting in front of my laptop, chatting with a friend through Skype, I thought of an idea. I turned to my mother, and said "I'd like to visit Canada". She then turned to me, and replied "Canada is a very cold country". What are you going to do there? She asked. I replied, "I had memories of dreaming of visiting Canada and the US when i was a child". "if you'd like to go there, just go", she said. When she said those words, i was relieved. I called my friends so that we could talk about the university and the cities. Choosing a city in Canada, to study was the hardest part because i didn't want to live in big cities. I began looking for small cities to reside in near big cities. After a month, i had not made a decision. I found the city of Waterloo, but i didn't like it very much, because there were no oceans near. After a while, i decided to move to Vancouver, so i called my friend who lived there, and we talked about BC. He told me he didn't like Vancouver. He liked Victoria. I then researched the city online and decided i wanted to live there. After a month, something changed. I didn't want to go to a university. I had fought with my parents until i went back to what i had planned. I packed my belongings, and bought a ticket to Victoria. After i arrived in Victoria, i could not believe my eyes. The city was beautiful. Because of the college, and Victoria, i then understood what my parents meant all along.
