How to ease coming out anxiety?

The best thing, in my opinion, is to just do it. That's what I did and it was the only way for me. I got it over with. The way I look at it, the sooner you tell people, the sooner they can accept you just the way you are. I came out to my mother (I'm gay) when I was 16 and she just NOW talks to my girlfriend of 3 years. Sometimes it takes people a long time, so the sooner the better :)
